Our Story

Every great idea has a moment of inspiration — and Fruitae is no different.

The idea of a fruity refreshing ice cream was first propsosed by one of our founders. Excited by the concept half of our team travelled overseas to finalise this unique creation while the rest stayed in NZ to prepare for its launch. During one of our phone calls with rest of the founders back in NZ to decide on the name, one of us had to pull over on the motorway to join the discussion. Inspiration struck in the most unexpected way and that's when the name "FRUITAE" was born.  

From a spark of inspiration on the road to becoming one of New Zealand’s most talked-about ice creams, Fruitae has always been about more than just a treat. It’s about bringing people together, sharing smiles, and adding a splash of fruity fun to everyday life.

And our story is only just beginning — with Fruitae now in dairies and supermarkets across the country, we’re excited to keep spreading fruity happiness, one scoop at a time.
